An exhibition of paintings by Jorge Diez exploring
the human body, vulnerability, intimacy, and the sacred
ONLINE EXHIBITION · OCTOBER 2026
The Naked Prayer
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
The body becomes prayer—not through words, but through vulnerability, presence, and surrender.
I. CREATION BEFORE SHAME
Before shame, there was the body—created, vulnerable, and unhidden. These works return to the beginning, when the human body existed not as an object of embarrassment, but as part of creation itself.
In the Beginning
Acrylic on Canvas
9 ✕ 12 inches
Before the body was seen with shame, there was creation—form emerging from chaos, life from movement, and beauty from the mystery of beginning.
Available
The Garden of Life
Acrylic on Canvas
Creation blooms into abundance. Earth, water, color, and light become a living garden—a world in which the human body belongs naturally, without shame.

Eve
Before shame, the body simply belonged to creation. Eve stands within the garden—naked, human, and unhidden.
24 ✕ 30 inches

One Flesh
Acrylic on Canvas
20 ✕ 24 inches
No shame. No hiding. Only the fragile truth of being seen and held. What seems divided was always reaching toward oneness.

Mary and Child
Acrylic on Canvas
30 ✕ 36 inches
Her body becomes sanctuary, her breast an altar of tenderness, her embrace the first home of Christ. Her nakedness becomes vulnerability, and her vulnerability becomes prayer.
Private Collection
II. The Sacred Body
The body is more than flesh; it carries our first breath, touch, wound, and embrace. Through the body, we enter the world, encounter one another, and learn tenderness. It is the vessel through which we give and receive love, suffer, heal, and belong. Perhaps the sacred has been here all along, waiting to be seen.
Quiet Grace
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
The body is not sacred because it is perfect, but because it is human. It does not need to be faultless to be held by grace—to stand before God with nothing to prove, nothing to hide, and simply say: Here I am.
Available
Unashamed
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
There was only the body, open beneath the light, breathing without fear. Nakedness is not an invitation; it is the truth. This body—vulnerable, imperfect, beautiful, human.
Available
Sacred Vessel
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
The body does not have to become something other than human to become sacred. Its humanity is the vessel. The body is not merely something we have; it is one of the places where we encounter God.
Available
Communion
Acrylic on Canvas
11 ✕ 14 inches
Strangers become companions, companions become community, and community becomes communion. The sacred body is never only mine. It is a body made for encounter—for giving, receiving, and belonging.

III. The Naked Prayer
When the body becomes prayer, nothing needs to be hidden. To pray naked is not simply to remove clothing, but to stand before God without pretense—with our vulnerability, longing, wounds, and desires fully exposed. The body itself becomes a language of prayer. In this encounter, nakedness becomes trust, vulnerability becomes offering, and the human body becomes a place where we encounter the sacred.
The Naked Prayer
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
So let my nakedness become prayer, my vulnerability become trust, and my body become an altar. I am not ashamed. I am known. I am loved. I am home. I only need to remain here—fully human, fully seen, and fully held by God.

Surrender
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 36 inches
Let me be still. Let me rest. Let me place my life into hands greater than mine. My surrender becomes prayer. My stillness becomes faith. My soul becomes an offering. I am held.

Many Voices, One Prayer
Acrylic on Canvas

IV. The Cross
At the Cross, suffering meets love, and our wounds meet His. Here, we lay down what we can no longer carry—our sorrow, our fears, our brokenness—and place it at His feet. In surrender, we find hope; in our wounds, healing; and through death, the promise of new life. Beneath the Cross, we discover that even in our deepest sorrow, we are never alone.
Toward the Cross
Acrylic on Canvas
20 ✕ 24 inches
A journey through darkness, through color and confusion, through wounds we cannot name. We come with nothing hidden, nothing left to prove—stripped of every mask, carrying only the truth of who we are.

Beneath the Cross
Acrylic on Canvas

Above us, the Cross. Around us, the darkness. Within us, a love that refuses to leave. And when there is nothing more we can do, we simply hold each other.

Between Heaven and Earth

The Light of the World
Acrylic on Canvas
30 ✕ 24 inches
We build, we wander, we lose our way—and still, You shine. Not beyond the world, but within it. Not far from us, but in our midst.

V. The Spirit of Salvation
What was broken begins to heal. What was lost is gathered home. What seemed like an ending becomes a beginning. The Spirit moves through our wounds, our surrender, and our hope, whispering that darkness will never have the final word. Prayer becomes transformation, grace becomes freedom, and death gives way to life. We rise—not as we were, but made new.
Salvation
Acrylic on Canvas
24 ✕ 30 inches
The Cross remained, but death released its hold. Salvation is not escaping the darkness, but being carried through it into light.

Received
Acrylic on Canvas

Behold, I Make All Things New
Acrylic on Canvas
48 ✕ 60 inches
Creation begins again. From darkness, light. From surrender, freedom. From death, life. The breath that gave life to creation becomes the promise of beginning again. The tomb is behind us. The light is before us. Behold—I make all things new.

THE NAKED PRAYER
We began with the body before shame, and we end with the promise of renewal. Between them lies the human journey—vulnerability and desire, love and suffering, prayer and surrender. The body is not left behind. It becomes part of the prayer.
Behold, I make all things new.
