ABOUT JORGE DIEZ

Artist & Scholar

Jorge Diez is a painter and scholar whose work explores the human experience through color, form, emotion, and the expressive presence of the body. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, he approaches the human figure not simply as physical form, but as a reflection of our inner lives—a place where vulnerability, dignity, intimacy, and the sacred can meet.

Diez holds a Doctorate in Religious Studies from Fordham University in New York, an academic background that informs his exploration of religious imagery, spirituality, and the human condition. His paintings are part of church collections in New York and Florida and have also appeared in prayer books, posters, publications, and other religious and community materials.

In The Naked Prayer, Diez brings art and spirituality together, inviting viewers to look beyond appearances and encounter the body not through shame, but as a place where the human and the sacred can meet.
